Calgary - We're going to the Zoo, zoo, zoo!

In more glorious sunshine, we took the C-Train to the zoo today and were very pleasantly suprised. We spent almost four hours looking around the animals, which given our combined attention span is pretty impressive. The zoo allowed you to get up very close to some of the animals, even entering some of the enclosures which delighted the young children (and us).

Favourites: Lee - Hippo's and getting close to the Grizzly Bear.Vicky - Lions and giraffes.

Least Favourite: The lunchtime zoo at the cafeteria full of screaming children and their even louder mothers.

We also discovered a Canadian TV programme that we like. You will have seen American Idol, America's next top model etc. Well here they have "Handyman Superstar" with ten contestants battling it out to be the next TV handyman, with one elimination per show. Compulsive viewing (really).
