Bodega Bay -Foggy Day

We drove past the Mendocino coastline heading South to Bodega Bay just a short distance from San Fransisco where we spend the next couple of nights. Most of the way down we were driving in sea fog that kept drifting in from the sea almost as though we were driving in the clouds, not what you need on some of these narrow, winding cliff roads! It was quite spooky, which is fitting, given that Bodega Bay is where the Hitchcock film "The Birds" was filmed. We headed inland and the fog disappeared to reveal beautiful blue skies and a very hot day again. The waves were enormous again with numerous warning signs all over the beach. Also all over the beaches were little shelters that have been been put together from the driftwood lying all over the beach, looked like great windbreaks and pretty cosy.
