Today we drove along the wild, rugged coastline that is Big Sur. The journey started off pretty dull but by the end of the day we were baking in beautiful blue skies and sunshine. Basically this part of the coastline is made more dramatic by the mountains meeting the sea with a thin stretch of road, and pretty much nothing else, curving around them. Our favourties would have to include some of the impressive bridges we drove over, bridging large drops or sometimes places where the hillside has been washed away. We also loved the waterfall that goes drops into the sea, and some of the very tropical looking little coves.
