Hurray, the sun has come out. We have had a beautiful sunny day on the top of the mountain. Being a weekday the slopes were not too busy and the snow was perfect. This park was where they filmed several of the backdrops for Lord of the Rings (Mordor - Mount Doom and Plains of Gorgoroth), and the scenery was truly gorgeous to look at while racing down the mountain. Again hiring the gear and eating was so much more organised than in Europe.Monday, September 3, 2007
Ohakune - Snowboarding again!
Hurray, the sun has come out. We have had a beautiful sunny day on the top of the mountain. Being a weekday the slopes were not too busy and the snow was perfect.
